March 15th is Garden Re-Leaf Day. This special annual fundraising day is the work of the Wendover based, Greenfingers Charity, who every year create magical and therapeutic garden spaces at children’s hospices across the country.
Join the walk!
Many of you may recall seeing swathes of people adorned with the Greenfingers ‘green hand’ logo in March 2023 and this year you could be one of them as the charity has issued a rallying call to the local community to get involved. Open to local businesses and residents, the Greenfingers Charity hope to make the 2024 event the biggest one yet.
For those unable to participate in the walk, there are plenty of ways to support. You can sponsor the walkers, donate refreshments along the route or sponsor the event in return for recognition on the charity’s website and social media channels.
Linda Petrons, Director of Fundraising & Communications at the Greenfingers Charity, said: “The Garden Re-Leaf Day Charity Walk is such a superb day and we’re so grateful to the team at Tring Garden Centre for their continued hospitality. We’re excited to be back and hope that we might welcome some new walkers and supporters of the event this March. We’ve so many ways to get involved so interested parties are invited to get in touch to find out more.”
